What is the cost for services?Sessions range from $150-$175 in your local currency. Please contact me for sliding scale inquiries.

Do you take insurance?For clients in Ontario, I provide receipts for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. While most insurance providers cover services from a Registered Social Worker (RSW), it is important that you verify this information. For clients in New York, I accept Aetna, United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford and Quest Behavioral Health. If I do not accept your insurance, you may have out-of-network benefits in your insurance plan. This means you can get back a large portion of our session fees as reimbursement and I will provide you with the necessary documentation for submission.

What can I expect in the first session?The first therapy session is where we begin to get to know one another and create a shared understanding of what brought you to therapy and how you would like for things to be different. I will follow your lead as to what is important for you to share about yourself, and ask some additional questions to build my understanding of your circumstance. We will also begin to identify goals for therapy and possible pathways towards them. While it is my goal to help you make changes in the shortest amount of time, therapy is not a one-session experience. I aim for you to leave each session with something useful to integrate into your day to day, but it is also common for psychological shifts to be more obvious only after some time.
