If you are feeling dysregulated and uncertain about how to gain a sense of control over your past…
Imagine six months into EMDR therapy…
You have the skills to calm your nervous system and you notice that you aren’t so upset by the things that used to trigger you…The negative beliefs you held about yourself just don’t feel as true as they once did…
One year into EMDR therapy…
The past feels distant now and your body doesn’t react with the oversized emotions like it used to… You have a new compassionate way of thinking about yourself and you feel empowered and resilient.

Trauma Healing and
EMDR Therapy
Heal from the past and reclaim your life.
Past trauma affects daily life and can leave us feeling trapped and unable to move forward. But putting an end to suffering is possible.
I understand how overwhelming it can be to carry the weight of past trauma. As an EMDR certified therapist, I have extensive experience helping clients heal and find peace after difficult life events and circumstances.
Together we will work to calm your nervous system, redefine your narrative, and ultimately come to a place of internal peace and empowerment. It’s possible to experience relief and to live fully in the present.

What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is an evidence-based treatment for trauma and other mental health concerns that changes the way a past experience is held in our mind/body by allowing us to become less reactive to our triggers and more open to new adaptive ways of thinking; basically, we are “rewiring” the way that a trauma is stored inside us. EMDR addresses the physical and emotional experiences of a trauma as opposed to other forms of therapy which focus solely on talking about the events. While past life experiences cannot be erased per se, EMDR helps us “put it in the past” and move forward with our lives. EMDR is effective both for single event traumas like car accidents or assaults, and for long-term traumas like intimate partner violence, childhood abuse or neglect, or discrimination.
